Photographs of umbilical cords of children who were born from their mothers
These photos were exhibited in a display window of Sumitomo Mitsui Trust Bank facing Karasuma Street in Kyoto.
Through photographing umbilical cord, which can be considered as self and other at the same time, this work aims to explore “body” and “material”, “child and mother”, and even “self “and “other” and their “boundaries”.
